Every 15th August the village of Cómpeta celebrates the 'Noche del Vino'. This year 8000 visitors downed 4000litres of wine during the party in the Plaza de la Vendimia.

Viernes Santo (Good Friday) in Cómpeta. The procession of Vía Crucis (Stations of the Cross) is known locally as the Men's procession, as it is soley men of the village who take part.
The village of Alfarnate hosted its third Fiesta de la Cereza on 21 June 2008. This 'fiesta popular' is a good excuse for eating, drinking and having a good time.
